The film industry today faces a critical problem.  We are, of course, referring to the severe lack of men in film!  Don’t believe us?  Here is Fred Willard at the opening of The 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards® to shed light on the crisis.

(DISCLAIMER: The preceding comments made by Mr. Willard do not reflect the views of Women In Film. We are very glad Tracee was there to rectify the situation.)

We are grateful to the creative folks at Funny or Die, including Rachel Goldenberg - director, Bradly Schulz - editor and Jason Carden - producer; along with Fred Willard and our emcee at the event, Tracee Ellis Ross.

WIF to Honor PSA Program Founders

This year, WIF-LA's Crystal + Lucy Awards, which will honor Cate Blanchett, Kerry Washington, Rose Byrne, Eva Longoria, and director Jennifer Lee as previously announced, will also recognize two leaders of the PSA Program, former chairwomen Bonnie Spence (2001-2013) and Judith Parker Harris (1994-2001).

For the last 20 years, Women in Film has given its members the opportunity to hone their skills while giving back to the community through its Public Service Announcement Production Program. Each year, WIF chooses four or five charity organizations committed to women and children to receive a pro bono PSA.
